A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains is a timeless masterpiece of Chinese art, created by the Northern Song dynasty prodigy Wang Ximeng at the age of 18. This class tells the legendary story behind “a scroll that stretches across a thousand miles of rivers and mountains.” Through the silk-based coloring techniques and the ingenious composition that captures vast landscapes within a small frame, students will experience the philosophical beauty of harmony between nature and humanity in Chinese landscape painting.

This immersive art exploration class is designed for students aged 6–12. Children will decode the cultural essence embedded in this iconic blue-and-green landscape painting from the Northern Song dynasty, explore the fusion of tradition and modern creativity, and use brush and ink to spark their own imagination.
